While apple crafts are designed for children of all ages, that doesn’t mean they can’t become a family activity. Here are some great apple crafts that the whole family can enjoy.
Apple Print Craft
* Materials Needed:
o Apples
o Paper towels
o Styrofoam plate, meat tray or other shallow dish
o Paint
o Construction paper
* Directions:
o Cut the apple in half. Experiment with cutting your apples different ways, so you’ll have a variety of print options to create.
o Core your apple to make a traditional cut.
o Cut through the middle of the apple to make apple star prints.
o Cut the apple into quarters to make even more prints.
o Fold the paper towel into quarters and lay it on the bottom of your shallow dish.
o Pour paint into the center of the paper towel so that you are turning the paper towel into a stamp pad. Although you can use any paint colors you wish, red, green and yellow are normally used.
o Dip your apple pieces into the paint, making sure you’re pressing the cut side into the paint.
o Dab the apple around the edges of the paper towel to wipe off the excess paint.
o Press apple pieces onto construction paper to make your apple prints.

Apple Smiles

o Peanut butter
o Miniature marshmallows
* Directions:
o Cut the apple into wedges.
o Smear peanut butter onto one side of two different wedges.
o Place some marshmallows onto one of the apple wedges, make sure that you space them apart some
o Now place the other apple wedge, peanut butter side down, on the marshmallows.
