Simple and kid friendly Christmas ornaments are easy to make from pine cones. Simply leave them as they are and hang them from the tree with ribbon or have the kids get involved by painting and decorating the pine cones as they wish. You could even create miniature tree ornaments by decorating a pine cone in a way similar to how you would decorate a tree.
