Ponybead Angel Pattern
Patterns for jewelry crafts can make creating your jewelry much easier. Let’s take a look at just a few patterns that you can use for your jewelry crafts.
This first one is an angel pattern made of pony beads. This can be used as a charm on any bracelet, necklace, cell phone or wine glass. Here is a list of the beads you will need and a link to the basic instructions on how to make the angel:
Supplies: These are the colors and amounts of pony beads you need 4 yellow or gold, 7 orange, 5 ivory, 28 white, 20 clear, 2 yards of satin cord and one lanyard hook.
To start you will need to fold your ribbon in half to find the center. Use a half hitch, which is a way to secure your ribbon to your lanyard hook. To lace the beads it is best to follow the directions in this link Tall Mouse . When you are finished you can hang this jewelry craft on backpacks or shoelaces for some added decoration.
Prodigal Son Feast Collage
When the prodigal son came home the father had a big celebration along with a big feast. One fun idea is to have the kids create a feast collage. You can bring in different magazines that have various pictures of food and have the kids cut out all the pictures that they would have at a celebration feast. Bring placemats and paper dishes so that they can glue their pictures onto their plates. Bring extra plates as some children get really carried away and will need more than one to fit all their feast food on.
You can really have a lot of fun doing these crafts that go along with the Prodigal son bible story. Kids love crafts that go along with stories and it can really give them a better understanding of the symbols behind the actual story. Have fun.
Prodigal Son Father's Day Card
Since this story has a lot to do with the return of a wayward son to his Father, it’s a great idea to do something around Fathers day to celebrate and thank their earthly Father’s for all that they do to help them make good choices, and love them unconditionally. Some ideas for Father’s day crafts are:
· Father’s Day cards with a picture of child and son together. You could request a picture from mom, or you could just take one of the two of them together.
· Father’s Day heart ties. Sounds corny right, but really the heart signifies how much a father loves his son, and the tie part is just for kicks. It’s not like he’ll wear it very often anyway.
