Clay Plate

You can make clay plates in your own home. Start by drawing a design onto tracing paper, then place the template on wire mesh and cut the mesh in that pattern. Now, take your polymer clay and roll in into a flat sheet. Press the cut mesh into the clay and roll the clay over with a rolling pin so you don’t trap any air bubbles. Pull the plate edge upward and smooth them or add a little decorative border to the edges. Bake the plate for 20 to 25 minutes in an oven at 265 degrees. Allow the plate to cool completely and you now have a decorative clay plate.
