Dried Apple Wreath

Materials needed:

•Apples
•Hot glue gun
•Acrylic sealing spray
•Baking pan

Directions:

•First thing you need to do is to take an apple and slice it into pieces that are about 1/8 inch thick. For variation you can also peel and core the apple before you slice the pieces or you can just core the apple

•Next lay the apple slices out on a baking pan in a single layer

•Place the apple slices into an oven at a low temperature, about 150 degrees

•Bake the apples for several hours until they are dry. Make sure that you flip them on occasion using a spatula.

•If the outside edges of the apple slices begin to harden and crisp before the centers are done you will need to leave the oven door ajar as the heating process finishes

•Once the apple slices are dry you are going to want to spray them with an acrylic sealing spray so that the apple slices have a shiny fresh look.

•Next using a hot glue gun you can create a wreath out of the dried apple slices or you can use the dried apple slices on a grape vine wreath as embellishments between the leaves and flowers.

•Some other things that you can do is to string them in garland for decorating trees, use them as magnets, glue them to vases or flower pots for embellishments, etc.
