Easy Heart Necklace

This easy to make necklace can be simple or as ornate as you want by adding paint and glitter at the end. You can make the hearts intricate or scale the craft down to be done by children.

What you will need:

Red Clay (you can use white and then paint it after)
Yarn
Heart-Shaped Cookie Cutters
Straw or toothpick
Optional-Clear acrylic spray
Optional-glitter, sequins or clay paint to decorate hearts after drying.

Instructions for the project: Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut out as many hearts as you want to string on your necklace. It is recommended that for larger hearts you only use one per necklace due to the weight. Use the straw to make a small hole along the top of the heart. Let the clay harden (follow the directions for whichever type clay you use). Lace yarn through the hole tie and wear your necklace. You can use clear acrylic spray to make the hearts shiny.

You can also use glitter, sequins, or other misc. supplies to decorate the hearts.
