Hand Print Poem

This is a great gift idea that can be a meaningful card or treasured gift.

Supplies needed:

Paper or cardstock
Ink or paint to make the hand print
A frame to fit the size of the picture (if it is meant to be a wall hanging).
Glitter or glitter glue to decorate the hand print

Instructions for the project: Make a copy of the child’s hand using the ink or paint. Allow to dry completely and then have the child decorate the edges with glitter or glitter glue. The use your computer to print out the poem or handwrite it onto the back of the picture. Consider adding the child’s name and date for an extra special touch.

My Hand Print

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls
But everyday I'm growing big
And soon I'll be very tall
Then all my little hand prints
Will be hard to recall
So here's a special hand print
Just so that you can say
this is how my fingers looked
when I placed them here today.
