Heart Necklace
This project can be done with kids of any age. It makes a darling memento for Mom to wear on Mother’s Day and all year around!
Materials Needed:
Red Clay or Play Dough
Yarn or ribbon
Heart-Shaped Cookie Cutters
Straw
Glitter, sequins or assorted art supplies
Instructions for the project:
Make or purchase red clay or play dough. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Use the straw to make a small hole along the top of the heart. Let the clay harden completely. You can air dry or bake it at a very low temperature in the oven. Lace the yarn or ribbon through the hole, tie, and it’s ready to wear!
Tip: You can use clear acrylic spray to make the hearts shiny. You can also use glitter, sequins, or other misc. supplies to decorate the hearts.
