Handprint Dish Cloth

Moms know a lot about keeping clean and it seems like if they are not cooking they are probably going to be cleaning something. So another great craft that you can make and give to mom for Christmas is a hand print or hand painted dish cloth. You can be creative and make the entire dishcloth; you can sew on specific shapes from festive patterns, or you can decorate it with fabric paint. You can make a dishcloth for every day of the week!

Decorated Apron For Mom

Of all the people in the world who appreciate homemade Christmas crafts, mom has got to be at the top of the list. Moms love it when you take the time to make something yourself. So this Christmas give mom a gift that she will truly treasure. Give a Christmas craft that you have made yourself.

Decorated Apron

Moms probably spend more time in the kitchen than anyone else. So why not make something that shows her that you appreciate all of the delicious meals that she has cooked and will cook. Give her a hand-decorated apron. All that you need to do is go to the craft store or local super mart and find a blank apron. Using fabric paint or fabric markers, write your message to mom on the apron. Help younger kids to contribute to the project by allowing them to dip their hand in paint and make a handprint on the apron. Make sure to give the apron plenty of time to dry before folding it or wrapping it. You do not want anything to smudge. Mom will love that she has a gift that reminds her of the appreciation of those who she loves.

Reindeer Handprint

Giving gifts at Christmas time are fun and significant traditions for many families. Yet children who do not have money to spend themselves are sometimes excluded from the process of giving gifts. Fortunately there are ways that your children can give meaningful gifts without the need of spending any money. They can make their own Christmas crafts. A craft for Christmas is so ideal because crafts can be made to suit any taste and skill level. So this year, encourage your children to give something really thoughtful by making the gifts themselves that they can give to others.

Reindeer Handprints

To make a reindeer out of a handprint you must first start with the handprint. Get some brown construction paper and trace your child’s hand. Cut out the shape of the hand. Your fingers will form the antlers. Knowing that the antlers of the reindeer belong at the top of your reindeer head, glue or draw on the eyes, nose and mouth onto the face of your reindeer. Give this gift as it is as a piece of art or make it into a card by gluing your reindeer hand on the front of another piece of construction paper that has been folded in half.
