Mom Memories

Moms love things of nostalgia that can help them to remember the times when her kids were little or certain events that were fun, etc. Find a picture or a series of pictures that you think will be particularly significant to your mom and make a small memory book. Or you can make an enlargement of a picture and make your own frame or decorate one that you buy. Smaller children can make their picture frames for mom out of Popsicle sticks and glue. As long as you stay true to the sentiment of the gift, mom will love it.

Dad Picture Frame

Another gift that you could make for dad is a picture frame that says DAD. What you will need is some heavy paper, 3 small pictures of you, glue and a pair of scissors. Use large block letters and draw the word DAD one the paper. Make sure the holes in the D, the A, and the D are large enough to show your picture. When the word is the right size, you can use the scissors to carefully cut out the word. Glue your pictures to the backside of the letters so the letter makes a frame around your face. Make sure you can see your face. Finally, cut a rectangle out of heavy paper of a different color. This should be big enough to border the whole “DAD”. Glue DAD and the pictures onto the rectangle and you will have a beautiful picture frame for your dad to proudly display at home or at work.

Picture Frames for Father's Day

Making Dad a picture frame with your picture in it lets him show you off at work. Plus he can remember that you made it by hand every time he looks at it. There are a number of ways to make a picture frame. You can find a nice piece of wood and varnish it and then shellac your picture onto it. A simpler picture frame is to make a frame out of Popsicle sticks and then paint the Popsicle sticks.
