Alternative Stuffing

Stuffing:

If you have a lot of leaves covering your yard, you may be able to use them for a big project, like as stuffing. Instead of going out and buying a bale or two of straw to fill that scarecrow you want to put on your front porch, simply stuff your scarecrow with leaves.

Bean Bag Heating Pad

Moms are notorious for being hard workers. Moms rarely get some time to kick their feet up and relax. Treat your mom to a Christmas craft that will allow her to take a few minutes to rejuvenate. A bean bag heating pad is an excellent gift to give your mom something to soothe her aching muscles. Bean bag heating pads are easy to make too. All you do is cut out two identical pieces of fabric. You can cut out the material to make a simple rectangular shape or a “C” shape for a neck pad. Sew the two pieces of fabric together with the outside of each of the sides of the fabric touching each other. Sew along the outside edge of the pad leaving a small opening through which you will pour your beans. Turn the pad right side out. Pour beans or rice into the pad through the opening so that the pad is about half to 2/3 of the way full. Do not fill the pad too full. Sew up the remaining small opening. All mom will have to do is put the pad in the microwave for about a minute. When it is done heating up, mom will be able to enjoy the warmth of the bean bag heating bag that you made for her.

Decorated Apron For Mom

Of all the people in the world who appreciate homemade Christmas crafts, mom has got to be at the top of the list. Moms love it when you take the time to make something yourself. So this Christmas give mom a gift that she will truly treasure. Give a Christmas craft that you have made yourself.

Decorated Apron

Moms probably spend more time in the kitchen than anyone else. So why not make something that shows her that you appreciate all of the delicious meals that she has cooked and will cook. Give her a hand-decorated apron. All that you need to do is go to the craft store or local super mart and find a blank apron. Using fabric paint or fabric markers, write your message to mom on the apron. Help younger kids to contribute to the project by allowing them to dip their hand in paint and make a handprint on the apron. Make sure to give the apron plenty of time to dry before folding it or wrapping it. You do not want anything to smudge. Mom will love that she has a gift that reminds her of the appreciation of those who she loves.
