Bandanna Pillow
This is a fantastic craft because it does not require much. You need two bandanas, and some filling or a pillow slightly smaller than the bandanas, and some scissors.
To make this craft, start by laying out the two bandanas, put them together with the darker sides facing out, so the inside is the side that you would wear down if you were to wear it on your head.
Then take some scissors and cut slits about 2-3 inches deep and every ¾ of an inch along the edges.
Now stick the filling or pillow inside the two bandanas and tie the slits together. You are going to take one slit from the top bandana and one from the bottom. Tie all the way around until the pillow is covered.
Bandanna Beach Bag
This is a fun craft that you can use to hold your sunglasses, reading book, and sunscreen, etc. for those lazy days of summer spent at the beach. Because bandanas come in a variety of patterns and colors you can make a beach bag to suit your personality.
Here is what you'll need:
- 2 bandanas
- A sewing machine
- A piece of rope
To make this bag you are going to start by placing the bandanas wrong side out, or right side together. Then, using your sewing machine, sew three of the four edges. Then turn it the right side out, and iron flat. Now, cut a small hole a couple inches down on the edges of the bandana, and tie a thick knot on your rope, and thread through. Thread it through the other side, and tie another knot. If you want to have a bag that has a cover, get a third bandana, and sew it to the top of one of the other two, and then sew a button onto the main bag, and create a button hole in the third bandana so that it can hang over the side, and button secure.
Bandanas can be decorated to make fun accessories, cut into strips to make bows, or sewn together to make bags, pillow covers, and more. Let your imagination be your guide and create a fun craft, or a useful item out of your bandana. Choose colors and patterns that suit you so that you will be able to use your craft for years to come.
