Watermelon Clay Pot

Turn any old clay pot into a watermelon and fill it with flowers to brighten up any room. You will need:

Clear Acrylic sealant spray
Hi-Shine glaze
Large clay pot (big enough to hold some flowers)
Acrylic gloss paint in red, green, black, and off-white
Natural sea sponge
1 inch sponge brush
¾ inch masking tape
Paintbrushes

Start by applying masking tape under the rim of the pot. Paint the inside and outside of the rim with green paint. Then, paint a line of off-white under the green rim. Paint the remainder of the clay pot with the sponge brush and red. Slightly blend some red with the white line you have painted and allow the clay pot to dry. Dip a damp sponge into off-white and lightly apply it over the entire pot. Allow this to dry and then lightly sponge red over the off-white line. Allow the red to dry and then paint black seeds over the red section of the pots. Paint the pot with hi-shine glaze and then spray it with the acrylic sealant spray. Now you have a cute watermelon clay pot to display flowers in.
